Breach Of Contract

The first question I would ask the candidate is “are you sterile” before I ever went any further. Of course, as a candidate, I would not divulge that I’d been fixed unless specifically asked. Oh, and I’d hang on the the $2500 until my “services” were no longer needed and then I’d offer a refund.

It has begun, Government Take Over of Private Industry …

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Here is the article straight from Drudge.com. It doesn’t  say that the Government is taking over this private business but the article does state that President Obama demanded this CEO to step down. President Obama doesn’t have the authority to order a private citizen to step down from a private job but he just did it and the CEO stepped down. So what does that mean? Where will this go from here? I don’t know. But it can only spell trouble for us American citizens. If the President  get’s away with this and no one stops it, it will no longer be a “one time deal”. The door has been opened … It’s a scary time for Americans … We have plenty of examples of other countries who’s leaders over stepped their boundaries and those countries became communist countries. The “people” no longer have a say in anything and a few people in the Government control everything. President Obama is acting like a Dictator … American people be aware of this guy …

Unconditional Love Is Achievable

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

This is a very strong statement. At Set Free Church we preach and teach this very thing. Having unconditional love is something we should be striving for. Have you ever noticed that we always want to put stipulations on our love for someone? Have you ever noticed that when we love someone that we try and put conditions on it? Can you imagine having an unconditional love for any one? As you continue reading this article I want to challenge you to examine your love for others and see if you have put conditions on you love. As humans I guess it is of the norm that we do put stipulations on the ones we love because of the possibility that the ones we love will let us down. If we put conditions and/or stipulations on our love to others it gives us an escape route. We can always say to them that since you didn’t do what we wanted or asked of you then we can stop loving you. Someone in our lives can do everything right for years and just as soon as they fail us we are to quick to jump the gun and turn that love we have for our family or friend into hate. I’m not trying to justify someone’s action to you, but merely saying that we as humans have the ability to forgive. At Set Free Church as previously stated, we are trying to achieve the level of unconditional love. It is my hope and belief that with enough prayer and the desire to be more Christ like that this is a possibility. The bible tells us in Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” You see we are all unworthy, but through the blood of Jesus we are joint heirs with Him who saved us. To be more Christ like to me is more than just striving to be sinless, although we try to sin less it is impossible to be sinless. If that were achievable there would be no reason for Jesus or the cross. I think that being Christ like is having that unconditional love for our God and fellow Brothers and Sisters, that is something that can be achieved. I have recently experienced someone who has honestly reached this goal. A never ending unconditional love for his family and Brothers in Christ. To begin the process of unconditional love we must first seek God, then we must be willing to look past the faults of others and began to look at their hearts. Accept them for who they are just as Jesus does, and not let one or two or even more faults put conditions on our love for others. If someone you truly love has hurt you, you don’t have to agree with what they did, but you must love them. Without Love, you have nothing. It is easier to love than it is to hate. When you follow this, as it is written in (NIV) Mathew 22:37-39 “Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself” Once you’ve achieved this, you are on your way to unconditional love. Until next time, God bless, Deacon

More Fotos from the Corydon Kentucky Tornado Damage …

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

My wife’s niece lives there and they never heard the storm sirens go off. They were fortunate because the tornado passed through the corner of their backyard but didn’t do any damage to them. However, their yard was strewn with trailer debris, toys and photographs from the homes that were damaged. Natasha (my wife’s niece) gathered up the photographs she found in the yard for the people that lost them.  Special thanks to my Wife Denise and Janna and Mitchell for taking these photographs …

Pay Your Bills!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful Queen with large breasts. Nick the Dragon Slayer obsessed over the Queen for this reason. He knew that the penalty for his desire would be death should he try to touch them, but he had to try.

One day Nick revealed his secret desire to his colleague, Horatio the Physician, the King’s chief doctor. Horatio thought about this and said that he could arrange for Nick to more than satisfy his desire, but it would cost him 1000 gold coins to arrange it.  Without pause Nick readily agreed to the scheme.

The next day, Horatio made a batch of itching powder and poured a little bit into the Queen’s bra while she bathed. Soon after she dressed, the itching commenced and grew intense. Upon being summoned to the Royal Chambers to address this incident, Horatio informed the King and Queen that only special saliva, if applied for four hours, would cure this type of itch, and that tests had shown that only the saliva of Nick would work as the antidote to cure the itch.

The King, eager to help his Queen, quickly summoned Nick to their chambers. Horatio then slipped Nick the antidote for the itching powder, which he put into his mouth, and for the next four hours, Nick worked passionately on the Queen’s large and magnificent breasts. The Queen’s itching was eventually relieved, and Nick left satisfied and hailed as a hero. Upon returning to his chamber, Nick found Horatio demanding his payment of 1,000 gold coins. With his obsession now satisfied, Nick couldn’t have cared less and, knowing that Horatio could never report this matter to the King and with a laugh told him to get lost.

The next day, Horatio slipped a massive dose of the same itching powder into the King’s underwear. The King immediately summoned Nick.

The moral of the story ……… Pay your bills.

Sermon Canceled!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

There was this small church down in Texas that had a very big-busted organist. Her breasts were so huge that they bounced and jiggled while she played the organ. Unfortunately, she distracted the
congregation considerably. The very proper church ladies were appalled. They said something had to be done about this or they would have to get another organist. So, one of the ladies approached her very discreetly and told her to mash up some green Persimmons and rub them on the nipples of her breasts and maybe they would shrink in size, but warned her to not eat any of the green Persimmons, though, ‘because they are so sour they will make your mouth pucker up and you won’t be able to talk properly for a while’. She agreed to try it. The following Sunday morning the minister got up in the pulpit and said… ‘Dew to thircumsthanthis bewond my contwol, we will not hath a thermon tewday.

What’s Right, What’s Wrong, With Henderson Kentucky. Part 1

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Henderson Kentucky, founded as a town by the Transylvania Company back in 1797, is located right in a bend on the banks of the great Ohio river. This on going report is just my opinion on what is right and what is wrong with the City of Henderson. Well, not really the “City” of. It’s more a problem with the people that are allowed to make the decisions that affect everyone here and our great City. Henderson is rich in history but our City Leaders for the most part ignore the richness and concentrate on smaller issues of appeasing  some of the well to do influential people. Historical buildings are allowed to deteriorate and fall down or be purchased by rich businessmen and torn down in order to build another Pharmacy. I don’t really expect to change the world or even my “Town” with this article. I am a realist. I just feel like we have allowed the “Big Wigs” and their means  of making money to dictate whether or not something gets to “continue on” for the future generations of Hendersonians. I have plenty to speak about too. The Drive In theater, the train Depot, allowing Walmart to move  three different times already and abandoning shopping centers each time they move … etc.. you get the picture?

So welcome to Part 1.

The Train Depot …

The Original Depot

The Original Depot

Located out on the outer edge of 3rd street and built in 1901. It has seen four Presidents, one Liberty Bell, and countless number of Soldiers returning home from the battle front during World War II. The train depot had been a popular stop over for many years. My grandpa has told me stories of catching the trains there and how beautiful the place was. Over the years as passenger trains fell by the way side the depot was used less and less. The last passenger train passed thru there in 1971 and the depot officially closed its offices in 1978. As usual, Henderson, like it always does to historial buildings, scheduled to have the depot demolished in 1979. Luckily, after an article was written in the Gleaner about it, some citizens came forward and contacted the Henderson Genealogical & Historical Society and eventually it was declared a Historical landmark and beat out the demolishing reaper at that time. Over the years it has had some restoration work done to it but the projects were never completely finished. Seems it was built on “weak” ground or something so it has some structure issues. Fast forward to “Today”. Henderson has been working on a riverfront beautification project for several years. A water park has been installed for small kids and that is actually a good thing. My Grand kids enjoy it too. A river walk also has been built. It’s nice to walk through the park in the evening. OK, on to my point. There was talk about relocating our famous and Historical Depot to the river front. But as fate would have it, it was decided that it would be expensive to move it. So instead of investing in our Henderson heritage, it was decided by our city leaders to build a “replica” or as I would say, the “fake” one at the river front. So it was built and it’s a nice looking fake one. So now we have two depots. The real one sits over off third street like an old  friend though boarded up and waiting for some one to restore it to its natural beauty.

the Fake Depot

the Fake Depot

Think about it for a second. It would be an awesome tourist attraction for Henderson. It’s a part of our rich history. But instead, a fake one has replaced it … Nothing is as good as the original. Henderson even has a website about the fake one … Their front page has this written on it, “Located in the heart of Henderson, the Depot is a replica of the original train depot built in 1901 and stands as an example of the city’s commitment to preserving the past while embracing the Future”. I call B.S. to that statement. The Real Depot is still there. It’s not advertised anywhere so no tourists that stop here know it’s still around. No tours go by there other than the Halloween haunted tour once a year. So, this concludes Part 1. The new depot though brand new and shiny is not a part of our History. It is an imposter. You don’t see Egypt building replicas of the pyramids do you? No, so why should we for our pyramid? We shouldn’t. We should spend the money and restore it and show it off proudly. So in this instance, Henderson made a “wrong” move in my opinion …let’s go build another pharmacy. OK?

Ten Questions With Slick Willy’s Brian Hart

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

1) Welcome to Kick Acts, Brian. Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m 36, originally from Marion, Ky. I have 2 girls and am married. I have been playing guitar since I was 10 and playing bars since I was 19. I played in country bands for years then I joined MINX I was lead vocals and back up guitar with them for 3 years. I stopped playing for 2 years and then formed Slick Willy. I have played in Nashville a little. I was showcased on Music Row for about 6 months but that did’nt last. Still have the desires of making the big time though.

2) You’re currently in a band called Slick Willy. Tell us who’s in the band and how we can find you online.

Dan Biggs, Steve Krietzer, and Kevin Woods and you can find us at myspace.com/slickwillybandrocks

3) What equipment do you use?

My personal gear is a 88 Tele (USA). I play through a Marshall 2550 head and an ADA 2 12 cabinet. Boss and Danelectro effects. I own the P.A. It is JBL JRX tops, 4 single 18 CGM bottoms, Mackie 1604 mixer, Lexicon effects, Behringer eq’s, Behringer crossover, Behringer 2500 amp, and Crown XTI 4000 amp. Behringer monitors and Behringer 12 channel mixer. LED light system. Shure mics.

Slick Willy4) How long have you been a musician? Tell us about some of your experiences.

Since I was 10. The bands I’ve been are Rushin Heart, NightLife, Wide Open, Minx, and Slick Willy. Played with alot of start up projects that never got out of the garage. When I was in the band called Night Life we was one of 5 that opened for Travis Tritt in Metropolis Illinois. I have played guitar with the guitar player for Merle Haggard. I have met alot of songwriters in Nashville and became friends with a few that have wrote for Tim McGraw, George Straight, and Gary Allen. I set in on guitar with Wild Horses one weekend. They had a song out called “Ride Cowboy Ride”

5) Do you have a greatest gig story you’d like to share?

When I was in MINX. We where playing Charles (Double Dukes now) one night and it was packed. Great house full of people. Anyway the drummer Shawn Chambliss had trouble being on time getting back on stage. Well it was hot, middle of summer, 3 sets into the night, and we where on break for about 15 minutes. NO SHAWN!!! So we waited and waited. Finally I got on the mic and said “Shawn Chambliss come to the stage. I did’nt even notice the side doors of the bar open. Someone from the crowd said ” He’s in the f@#kin pool man”!! He came on stage ‘Finally” and played the rest of the night in wet cloths. The next day he could not move because the wet cloths caused him to have rashes on his legs from where his wet pants where rubbing him raw. hahaha

Adult!!!!

Another was we where playing one night “in MINX”. The floor was packed and there was about 10 girls right up front. Of course Preston Buzzard, Shane Breedlove and me picked out a girl that was hot and kinda stood in front of her. Well she was trying to be sexy and she was until it happened. She unbuttoned her pants, pulled them down a little, and stuck her finger in her pussy. YES it was hot……………but then it hit us…………I SWEAR IT STUNK UP THE WHOLE STAGE!!!! In one motion we where all on the other side of the stage. hahaha

6) Worst gig?

I had a band about 13 14 years ago called Night Life. We where playing at Hopkinsville Eagles( Yea I Know) and things where good but not great. Me, Shawn Chambliss, Darrel Cavinaugh, and Mike Perkins. Friday night we had a good crowd. Mike and Darrel got hammered. Darrell was the worst he destroyed almost every song we did. I could’nt take it. At the end of the 3rd set I decided to confront him and he started CRYING! So I backed off trying to just get through the night. Mike was a “Mad Drunk”. He was mad cause he felt I made Darrell cry. At the end of EVERY song I would look over and Darrel had tears just F#$KIN rollin down his face. The man is at the time was 42 years old. Anyway we finished the night with almost a fist fight in the parking lot. I ended up firing both of them on the spot.

We still had Saturday to go and I called Randy Stone to play bass. Never played or practiced together. We played 3 piece. We played Saturday night and I swear there was people coming up to us saying ” Yall are a lot better than that band they had last night, one bastard on stage was even cryin!”

To top it all off we loaded up. Sat in the parking lot and talked for awile. Then left. Drove half way home and realized during my talking I put my guitar down in the parking lot. Thats right left the F#$kin thing right there in the middle of the parking lot. Had to drive an hour back to get it. Thank God it was still there. Its not the best neighborhood.

7) What inspired you to become a musician?

I always loved music. Any kind. I guess my grandpa. He played. My Dad played and sang to.

8) Who are your musical heroes & why?

Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Healy, Gary Moore, because of the emotion they put into their guitar work. Brad Paisley because he is just a bad ass guitar player.

9) Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in this musical era?

Don’t stick to one style. Buy the best gear you can find and afford. Find people who have the same direction as you and are MOTIVATED to help. Don’t be affraid to try something different. DON”T TAKE NO SH$T!!!!!

10) This one really isn’t a question, it’s where you get to answer what I didn’t ask. SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!

The economy is terrible. The government has to do something. People can’t keep this up. Obama, hope you can fix the f@#k ups!
