SLIPKNOT’S CLOWN On New DVD: This One’s For Paul

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

from Blabbermouth.com

SLIPKNOT releases its new DVD, “(sic)nesses”, on Tuesday (September 28), with the disc chronicling the band’s June 2009 performance at England’s Download Festival, one of the last major performances by late SLIPKNOT bassist Paul Gray. The disc is dedicated to Gray‘s memory and percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan told The Pulse of Radio what to expect inside. “We kind of put him first in everything, you know,” he said. “You open up the booklet, you see his picture first. If you look in the back, his name’s first and, you know, we did our best just to just kind of put him out on front, you know. If you see an edit of him in the film, it’s probably a little bit longer than a Clown edit, as it should be, you know, because we miss him and this one’s for him.”

Two special “director’s cut” screenings of (sic)nesses were held in New York and Chicago on Monday night (September 27), with Crahan — who directed — attending the New York one.

A third screening will be held in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

In addition to the concert, the DVD also includes a tour documentary and four music videos.

Paul Gray passed away last May from a drug overdose at the age of 38, leaving SLIPKNOT‘s future uncertain.

A lengthy written dedication to Gray is also printed inside the DVD packaging.

“(sic)nesses” captures SLIPKNOT‘s unforgettably electric headlining performance at U.K.’s Download festival, where the group brought the venue to its knees with a performance that’ll put viewers in the front row, butted up against the barricade, surrounded by thousands of fans losing their minds to their favorite band. Additionally, the DVD features several riveting extras including a 45-minute film, music videos and much more.

“(sic)nesses” features the following track listing:

01. 742617000027
02. (sic)
03. Eyeless
04. Wait and Bleed
05. Get This

12. Vermilion

Someone hand Sebastian Bach a crying towel…

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

He will forever be associated with SKID ROW, he might as well get over it, it continues to sell tickets for him and line his pockets…(chuck)

Ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach has slammed U.K.’s Classic Rock magazine for allegedly “fucking him around” by running a five-page feature on his former band that’s trailered as “When SKID ROW found Sebastian Bach, they thought they’d found the rock star who could take them to the big time. What they got was an ego that threatened to destroy the band.”

Bach wrote at Twitlonger.com, a related Twitter site where one can post messages longer than 140 characters, “As usual, the latest issue of Classic Rock mag fucks me around and completely misses the point of rock ‘n’ roll. Once again they have a five-page article with full-page pictures of me with my old band talking about 20 years ago. Once again they lie about me and make zero mention of Broadway, GUNS N’ ROSES tours, TV shows, and, of course, no mention at all of my solo CD, ‘Angel Down’. The article ends with the lie, ‘Sebastian Bach refused to be interviewed for this article because he does not want to live in the past, even though his live set is half songs from the first record.’

“Complete and utter horseshit. We do more songs from ‘Angel Down’ in my set than any other record. They can’t say this because Classic Rock mag has never and will never support me making new music. Doesn’t fit into their mold they made for me. Tough shit.

“A gigantic FUCK YOU to Roger Lotring who has always fucked me in print.

Classic Rock mag: Come see me two nights at London 02 arena with GUNS N’ ROSES. Pay close attention to the song list, if you dare. Not that you give a fuck at all about music. You sell nostalgia. I have a new record on the way. Sorry . You’re welcome for the five pages in your new mag. But do not think for a second you are talking about Sebastian Bach. You’re not talking about me. You talk about your ‘idea’ of who I am. You do not know me at all. If you want to know me, listen to ‘Angel Down’. It rocks just as hard as the first SKID ROW album in every way. The fact that it does not exist in your rag says more about you than me. See for yourself in the U.K. live this October.”

30 years of “Heaven and Hell CD and DVD

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Records has set a November 16 U.S. release date for “Neon Nights: 30 Years Of Heaven & Hell” CD/DVD featuring a recording of HEAVEN & HELL‘s July 30, 2009 concert at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. Columbia Music Entertainment will make the CD available in Japan on November 10. The limited-edition first pressing in Japan features cardboard sleeve artwork and the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD players).

A description of the set reads as follows: “On Thursday July 30, 2009, HEAVEN & HELL took to the stage at the famous Wacken festival in Germany as part of the tour in support of their album ‘The Devil You Know’, released earlier in the year. Although nobody knew at the time, it was to be Ronnie James Dio‘s last filmed concert appearance before his death in May 2010 from stomach cancer. HEAVEN & HELL were on fantastic form and played a set blending tracks from the newly released album with classics from their BLACK SABBATH days. This is a truly fitting tribute to one of the legendary voices of rock.”

“Neon Nights: 30 Years Of Heaven & Hell” track listing:

01. E5150
02. The Mob Rules
03. Children of the Sea
04. I
05. Bible Black
06. Time Machine
07. Fear
08. Falling Off the Edge of the World
09. Follow The Tears

11. Heaven and Hell
12. Encore: Country Girl

Professionally filmed video footage of HEAVEN & HELL‘s July 30, 2009 concert at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany can be viewed below.

“The Devil You Know” sold 30,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in May 2009 to debut at position No. 8 on The Billboard 200 chart.

In 2006, BLACK SABBATH members Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice reunited to record a trio of new songs for Rhino‘s “Black Sabbath: The Dio Years” before launching a greatly acclaimed world tour under their new moniker HEAVEN & HELL.

BLACK SABBATH‘s “The Rules Of Hell” box set — which features all three of SABBATH‘s Dio-era studio releases (“Heaven And Hell”, “Mob Rules”, “Dehumanizer”) and its double live collection (“Live Evil”), each remastered for the first time — sold around 2,650 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in July 2008. “The Rules Of Hell” came packaged in a deluxe slipcase with extensive liner notes featuring all-new interviews with the band.

“Joke of the Day” Submitted by David Burris..lol

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Two Mexicans are on a bicycle about 15 miles outside of Yuma,
Arizona.

One of the bike's tires goes flat and they start hitching for a
lift back into town.

A friendly trucker stops to see if he can help, and the Mexicans
ask him for a ride.

He tells them he has no room in the trailer as he is carrying
20,000 bowling balls.

The Mexicans convince the driver that they can manage to squeeze
themselves into the back with their bike.

The driver agrees, shuts the doors and gets on his way.

By this time he is really late so puts the hammer down and sure
enough, a blonde cop pulls
him
over
for speeding.

The lady officer asks the driver what he is carrying, to which
the driver jokingly replies, "Mexican eggs."

The blonde lady cop obviously doesn't believe this so she wants
to take a look in the trailer. She opens the back door and quickly shuts
it and locks it.

She gets on her radio and calls for immediate backup from as
many officers as possible plus a Swat Team.

The dispatcher asks what emergency she has that requires so many
officers.

"I've got a semi-tractor-trailer stopped with 20,000 Mexican
eggs in it. Two  have hatched and they've already managed to steal a
bicycle."

Eddie Fisher R.I.P.

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Your daughter Carrie looked hot a hell in that Star Wars Slave outfit…:)

Pop singer Eddie Fisher, whose clear voice brought him a devoted following of teenage girls in the early 1950s before marriage scandals overshadowed his fame, has died at age 82.

He passed away Wednesday night at his home in Berkeley of complications from hip surgery, his daughter, Tricia Leigh Fisher of Los Angeles, told The Associated Press.

“Late last evening the world lost a true America icon,” Fisher’s family said in a statement released by publicist British Reece. “One of the greatest voices of the century passed away. He was an extraordinary talent and a true mensch.”

The death was first reported by Hollywood website deadline.com.

In the early 50s, Fisher sold millions of records with 32 hit songs including “Thinking of You,” “Any Time,” “Oh, My Pa-pa,” “I’m Yours,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Lady of Spain” and “Count Your Blessings.”

His fame was enhanced by his 1955 marriage to movie darling Debbie Reynolds — they were touted as “America’s favorite couple” — and the birth of two children.

Their daughter Carrie Fisher became a film star herself in the first three “Star Wars” films as Princess Leia, and later as a best-selling author of “Postcards From the Edge” and other books.

Carrie Fisher spent most of 2008 on the road with her autobiographical show “Wishful Drinking.” In an interview with The Associated Press, she told of singing with her father on stage in San Jose. Eddie Fisher was by then in a wheelchair and living in San Francisco.

When Eddie Fisher’s best friend, producer Mike Todd, was killed in a 1958 plane crash, Fisher comforted the widow, Elizabeth Taylor. Amid sensationalist headlines, Fisher divorced Reynolds and married Taylor in 1959.

The Fisher-Taylor marriage lasted only five years. She fell in love with co-star Richard Burton during the Rome filming of “Cleopatra,” divorced Fisher and married Burton in one of the great entertainment world scandals of the 20th century.

Fisher’s career never recovered from the notoriety. He married actress Connie Stevens, and they had two daughters. Another divorce followed. He married twice more.

So after 98 years, he should have turned left instead of right…..

Titanic sunk by steering mistake, author says

LONDON (Reuters) – The Titanic hit an iceberg in 1912 because of a basic steering error, and only sank as fast as it did because an official persuaded the captain to continue sailing, an author said in an interview published on Wednesday.

Louise Patten, a writer and granddaughter of Titanic second officer Charles Lightoller, said the truth about what happened nearly 100 years ago had been hidden for fear of tarnishing the reputation of her grandfather, who later became a war hero.

Lightoller, the most senior officer to have survived the disaster, covered up the error in two inquiries on both sides of the Atlantic because he was worried it would bankrupt the ill-fated liner’s owners and put his colleagues out of a job.

“They could easily have avoided the iceberg if it wasn’t for the blunder,” Patten told the Daily Telegraph

“Instead of steering Titanic safely round to the left of the iceberg, once it had been spotted dead ahead, the steersman, Robert Hitchins, had panicked and turned it the wrong way.”

Patten, who made the revelations to coincide with the publication of her new novel “Good as Gold” into which her account of events are woven, said that the conversion from sail ships to steam meant there were two different steering systems.
