An Interesting Beatles Easter Egg! “Sie Liebt Dich”

Boys will be boys! lol…Those young musicians from Liverpool that owned  the world at one time. It appears that they liked a good wanker joke too and slide this by the censors of the day! I had no idea they recorded some of their vocals in other languages for international releases so while surfing on the web today I found this…

It’s “She loves Me” in German. I don’t speak German but the article goes on to say that the Beatles spent enough time in Germany to know the difference between the sounds of an “h” and a “K”… so for the first two words (she loves) of the chorus they sang it in German but the last word (me)  they sang in English…lol See if you can hear it too what they are singing! If you need help, hit the comments and I will guide you though it…

  • About the Sam Smith thing. Let me say I have never had any hard feelings toward Sam.  All my years of songwriting have shown me these things can happen.  Most times you catch it before it gets out the studio door but in this case it got by.  Sam’s people were very understanding of our predicament and we easily came to an agreement.  The word lawsuit was never even said and was never my intention.  And no more was to be said about it. How it got out to the press is beyond Sam or myself.  Sam did the right thing and I have thought no more about this.  A musical accident no more no less. In these times we live in this is hardly news. I wish Sam all the best for his ongoing career. Peace and love to all.

Jan. 28, 1986…Where were you when…?

The space shuttle Challenger blew up?

I was 20 and working at G&G Generators… The Secretary ran out of her office saying “It blew up!” “It just blew up!”. We went into the office and watched the news…Shortly after Commander Scobee said “We are go for throttle up” one of the shuttle’s rocket boosters’ malfunctioned and the shuttle was destroyed as school children everywhere watched in horror. It was a sad day for all citizens of Earth. We lost a wonderful crew, a school teacher and the innocence of the Space Program.

As the weeks went on it was hinted to/revealed that some, if not all of the crew lived until the crew cabin hit the water some 2 plus minutes after the the Space Shuttle Challenger disintegrated.

Our then President Ronald Reagan spoke such elegant words that night as he addressed our Nation and the World.

 “We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and ‘slipped the surly bonds of Earth’ to ‘touch the face of God.”

 

So, where were you?

“Straight Line Stitch” signed with Pavement Entertainment!

Female fronted Metal/Heavy Rock band *Straight Line Stitch* have just signed a deal with Pavement Entertainment and will release their new EP titled “Transparency” on May 5, 2015. Additionally the band is announcing plans for the “South for the Wintour” tour that will begin on January 15th in Merriam, KS and wrap up on February 13th in Spartansburg, SC. Formed in 2003 and originally hailing from Knoxville, TN the band is fronted by Alexis Brown who is best known for her powerful and melodic vocal delivery. The band cracked into the mainstream with the critically acclaimed albums “When Skies Wash Ashore” (2008) and “The Fight of Our Lives” (2011). The new EP “Transparency” takes off right where the band left off with their unique blend of heavy, catchy, and melodic hooks. More news coming soon!
