Ok Hollywood, What’s The Deal?

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Look, here’s the deal as I see it. If you are gay, be gay. More power to you. I don’t get it but to each his own …ok? But why is every male clothing/fashion designer critic in Hollywood ( or at least most of them on TV or in print)  gay and allowed to publicly bash what women wear? Is it a trend? Think about it. They already do not like girls from the word “go”. So why allow them to criticize the Hollywood actresses and the clothing they wear and the shape of their bodies? Why not just let them “judge” men instead. I am not gay bashing here so no slapping allowed. But this morning on one of the gossip magazines on line they have a photo of Katy Perry. The critic said this of her. “Katy Perry’s Hello Kitty top is far from the cat’s meow. The singer’s leather leggings are also quite loathsome. ” Why would he say something awful like that? Is it his life long desire to “get back at” the very thing that brought him life, the vagina? I am a straight male and when I look at these photos I see a 24 year old woman who is not afraid to wear what ever she wants and it works for her. She has the body for it so go for it. On another site it  had posted photos of Pamela Anderson in a bathing suit and under the photos it read. “Pamela Anderson needs to keep her clothes on”. Look, she is 40 years old and has two kids. She may not be the Baywatch material she once was but she still is in good shape for her age. Not to mention she is a sword swallower too (as in Tommy Lee’s sword, you saw the video right?)  Maybe that is why she gets picked on by the same people as Katy Perry does. No wonder women have low self esteem. They get mauled at every turn. Even Jessica Simpson is called “fat” by these people. This is just my two cents but it’s time the critics of hollyweird, gay or straight, stand in front of a mirror and speak bad about themeselves instead. I have included the photos of Katy and Pamela. What do you think guys/girls? Opinions are welcome.

YouTube, Another WTF Here …

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Well, YouTube used to rock. I could find anything and everything I used to listen to as a kid there on that wonderful website. From obscure old silly songs, like “Run Joey Run” , ” Billy Don’t be a Hero” , “Phantom 309” and many more from my past long gone but not forgotten … I had about 100 songs saved on that site for my listening pleasure. I even had old Saturday morning cartoons from the seventies in my YouTube favorites. Remember “The Valley of the Dinosaurs”? I had it saved. I hadn’t seen that since it was on for the first time. What about “The Land of the Lost”? Not the stupid nineties version but the real McCoy from the 1970’s. I could watch my first TV crush Holly Marshall with her Dad Rick and brother Will all over again and reminensce about how I, as a 10 year old boy would someday go rescue her from those Sleestaks … It may seem corny now but back then it sure seemed real to my small mind. Now Holly is all grown up and well, I don’t want to rescue her anymore but back to YouTube. I had my memories right there at a click of the mouse and I could escape at anytime. Youtube was great and growing. And like all things Internet, as soon as something is taking off, the powers that be step in to ruin things. YouTube was pressured by recording companies about copyright infringements and such and a bunch of legal stuff that I guess is way over my head so all the cool stuff I couldn’t fnd any where else is slowly going away. These days my YouTube favorites have a lot of “Video no longer available” in place of the videos. It’s  a sad day. I would have gladly paid a fee to keep them. But they were heavy handed instead. As Don Henley from the Eagles has said, “As the Lawyers clean up the details” , “This is the end of the innocence”. Why does it have to be this way? I waited all my life to find these lost treasures. There they were, “were” being the key word here. It sucks. Once again my past memories will just become that. Memories again without being able to keep them fresh. Oh, I will cherish them but it sure was cool to be able to see and hear those old favorites of mine that I could no longer find. Some of the songs I looked for and tried to find for years. Long before the Internet. Record stores were worthless. YouTube helped me and countless others. Too bad it is slowly getting snuffed out. So as my last line for this story  will be … Record companies … as the hippie movement said to the establishment  … “Fuck off and die”. that being said, I’ll miss my YouTube.

Stimulus Package Explained (Q & A)

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Sometime this year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q & A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. No, they are borrowing it from China . Your children are expected to repay the Chinese.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

  • If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China
  • If you spend it on gasoline it will go to Hugo Chavez, the Arabs and Al Queda
  • If you purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan
  • If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras , and Guatemala (unless you buy organic)
  • If you buy a car it will go to Japan and Korea
  • If you purchase prescription drugs it will go to India
  • If you purchase heroin it will go to the Taliban in Afghanistan
  • If you give it to a charitable cause, it will go to Nigeria

And none of it will help the American economy. We need to keep that money here in America . You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it on prostitutes, beer (domestic only), or tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the US.

It’s a New Day America!!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Well, we’re getting a new President. Out with the old, in with the new. It’s an exciting time for America. We get to wipe the slate clean every four or eight years and start all over. I’m really glad we don’t live where we are ruled by a King or Queen. Could you imagine that? You could never vote for a King or Queen so even if they were awful in their position, they are there and that’s that. So here we are America. Like it or not. The Ellectoral votes have been counted and have spoken. President Bush’s time is up and he is going on into History. With that, our new incoming President has already made history by being the first African-American elected to the Office of President. And as far as my opinion, I try not to see “Race”. I try to be colorblind. Or for that matter gender blind. I don’t care what gender or color our new President is. Whether they are Male or Female, white or black or any other color for that matter. What matters is we give him or her a chance. So I will. I him wish well and I hope for our Country’s sake that the new President looks to God for wisdom and guidance. WIth that said, according to history, He will be “tried” within the first 100 days of office and that “sets the tone” for his tenure. The only thing that unnerves me is this. He has compared himself to two other Presidents and both did great things. First off, he compares himself to President Kennedy. And secondly, he compares himself to President Lincoln. Both of those Presidents were ground breakers of their time. They stood out and didn’t go with the grain. But the dark side of being compared to these two Presdents’ is that they were both assaniated while in Office. I pray this doesn’t happen. I wish our New President well and GodSpeed but in the back of mind … I wonder why he would pick the two that were Assaniated … Does he feel its his  … destiny? … Agree? Disagree? Dicuss …

NOW THE PORN INDUSTRY NEEDS BAILING OUT TOO?

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

First it was the Financial part of America that needed a bailout from our Government. And right after that, the Auto industry raised their begging hands up. And now it’s the Porn Industry. I just read a recent story about Larry Flynt (Owner of “Hustler” magazine) and Joe Francis (Owner of “Girls Gone Wild”) both have asked Congress for a 5 Billion dollar helping hand too. Seems the Porn industry is in a recession too. During these financial hard times people are apparentlly not purchasing as much porn as Larry and Joe think we all should have. The Adult DVD sales have dipped around 22% last year. Thats alot less dollars and sperm being “spent” on Porn. I guess I can believe it. I can believe anything now. Where will this all stop? Can I get a bail out too? First off. The banking instuitions are so unforgiving for the most part … Ever bounce a check? Maybe not, but I have. Several times. I have made honest mistakes trying to keep up with the few hundreds of dollars I earn each payday. Well, when I bounce a check, the bank charges me $37.50 for an overdraft fee. That’s free money to them. Multiply that over and over by all the bounced check fees they charge everyone else too and well, you get the picture. I bet all the banks combined make millions of dollars each year from people just like us that work from pay check to pay check and occasionally drop the ball with our account because it runs so close sometimes. So here is my question for them and I don’t expect an answer. You (the Banking instiution) hold us to our mistakes and charge us unmercifully when we “blow it”. But now, the tables have turned. You now have “blown it”. But you cry mercy instead of punishment? I say “HELL NO”. Fall on your faces. You have already let many of us “fall on our faces”. How many people fell behind on their mortgage payments last year and you reposessed their homes? Their belongings? Their lifes? What about the ninety something year old lady that was being foreclosed on so she shot herself instead of letting you take it from her? Well, after the fact you forgave her mortgage. But that was only one out of thousands of homes you reposessed last year. Have the people forgotten this bit of history too? Back during the Great Depression when you ,” The banking instiutions of America”, couldn’t cash workers’ checks or give them their hard earned cash they had stored in your vaults. So what did you do? Did you show mercy on those people? Tell them to hang on? Give them some time to get back on their feet? HELL NO. You not only couldn’t give them their own money, so in turn, they couldn’t pay their mortgage to “who? To “YOU” the Banks. So what happened? “You” turned right around when you left the counter window and repossesed their homes and farms and sold them for profits. So once again, I say pick a side of your face you like the least and have a nice fall … Our Economy will bounce back stronger for it.

And the Auto industry needs a hand out too? You American Auto makers have been making and selling sub par cars for years … everyone knows that the best made vehicles are imports. They have been for years. It’s not the workers fault. It’s the designing engineers and the decision making people. So why haven’t you tried to compete with them? You haven’t. You have only continued to compete amongst your American competition. So basically, you have let the turtle outrun the hare. The three largest American Automobile makers should have come together years ago and stopped the inner bickering and competition. The competition is not with each of your three. It’s the imports you should have been competing with. Not I drive a “Ford” cause my Grand Paw did or, “I drive a “Chevy” cause my Daddy did. Hell, I shouldn’t even mention “Chrysler” but my Mom drove the shit out of those cheap ass cars while she was alive and why? Because her brother worked for Crysler. That’s why. Enough of the bail outs. You three companies need to get in an office somewhere. Shake hands, join sides and make up and get back to the drawing board. One thing about America, when forced to, “WE KICK ASS”. So screw the hand out. Start working for the common goal. Out design and out build the imports. We were down at Pearl Harbor and four years later on top of the world!! So get going!!!

And the Porn industry, you’re next. You don’t need a hand out. You need to lower your prices. Anyone purchased an adult video lately? Well, they basically shoot porn 24/7 and have massive dulpicators. So each DVD they produce might cost them a dollar at best to make. But then they turn around and sell it for $60.00 or somewhere in that area. You guys are killing us. Joe Francis has a private jet with his franschise name all over it. He’s not hurting. Niether is Larry Flynt. Doesn’t he have a gold plated wheel chair? You guys could lower you porfit margin and the sales will bounce back up. I’m not buying any porn because its just not worth paying for a DVD that expensive. I’m doing what alot of other Amercians are doing because of those prices. Making my own at home. 🙂 Larry and Joe, you want that 22% back? Rework those over prices DVDs you sell.

So in closing. Let’s stop the bailouts. We’re already bailing everyone else out for what ever “good” reason they can think of. This is America. Pull yourself up by the boot straps, take your licks and get back to work. That goes for everyday people and to Corporate America.
