Aztar donates less than 2,500.00 and made this much in November???

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Casino Aztar only gave less than a paltry 2,500.00 to the Santa clothes club and 14,000.00 to the salvation army which that was  pretty cool but look how much they made in November alone off of the gamblers…

They could fund the Santa Clothes club in it’s entirety….

from the courier

According to the November revenue report from the Indiana Gaming Commission, Aztar’s adjusted revenue last month was nearly $9.2 million, down 3 percent as compared to the same period last year.

Statewide, Indiana’s 13 casinos reported combined revenues of just over $199 million, which was also down 3 percent from a year ago.

Total admissions at Aztar were 87,655 in November, down 7 percent as compared to last year. Total casino admissions statewide were 1,755,068, which was also down 7 percent year-over-year.

Heaven’s Gate cult, it’s been 15 years and no one has…

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

heard from any of you guys on the “Away Team” that left the planet to catch up with the Hale Bop comet…Well, actually the spacecraft your faulty leader said was trailing in behind it. It’s a shame you bought into a lie and were fooled by someone like that and you took your own life. That part is serious and nothing funny to laugh about. Your leader obviously was a Star Trek fan and used their terminology to push his evil gains…  But I do have to ask…

Who is maintaining your website and why aren’t there any updates? Your page is so 1997 looking…

click the photograph to go to their site but please don’t get fooled into believing this crap…

Chick Fight…Who wins? “Ransom” or “Butcher Babies”?

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

“Ransom’ is an old school band from the early 90’s… This sound had an 80’s guitar riff and the chick vocals to back it up…

“Butcher Babies” actual has two chicks in it. One “screamer” and one “singer”…One can’t really beat the Wendy o Williams tribute!

So which band comes out on top? Or bottom? Or both? Or does it matter? Girl on Girl is no a crime 🙂 Please VOTE!

Dave Rogers of the world famous Dave’s Guitar Shop

interview by David Lee of the band Crimson Fool

Dave Rogers had little more than a handful of guitars and a dream when he opened the now world famous “Dave’s Guitar Shop,” located in the little known music mecca of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Dave Rogers is living proof that with hard work, sacrifice and networking (and this is before the days of the internet and the world wide web, mind you) anything can be achieved. I have known Dave for over 25 years and as a punk kid, I was a regular in his store. I bought my first bass from him, and had to make sure I had a “Dave’s Guitar Shop” T Shirt (because no real musician would be without one! I mean, they are just waaaay cool.) I now sit in Dave Rogers office, that is actually bigger than his entire first store, to find out more about Dave, his beginnings, the ingenuity that got him to where he is today and hear some stories about rock and roll.

Dave, you have said what interested you in music and guitars was your older brother who played in bands when you about 12 years old. At what age were you when you first started playing guitar?
I was born and raised in Marshfield Wisconsin and that is where my brother’s band was based. My brother had a great record collection that he shared with me and both he and my Mom helped me get a guitar to get started, even though money was very tight at our household. As I remember it my first guitar came from Woolworths and we got it for $10 as it was missing Read more…
