Dear Madam Hawk,
My stimulus check didn’t stimulate my old lady at all. I tried to rub it all over her the other night after the Lion’s Club auction and she just turned over and went to sleep. The next day she got up early and got all dolled up and left with the check. She even put her good teeth in. What’s a guy to do now?

Don’t you know that rubbing her with an uncashed check means squat these days? As the saying goes “Bring home the money honey!” Looks like you won’t be getting gummed anymore. One way to control the situation is hide her teeth! About the check, at least something got blown. As for stimulating, ask her when she gets home.

Restaurant Review – Newburgh’s Tin Fish

Newburgh’s Tin Fish is in downtown Newburgh in the same area as the Newburgh market. It’s a walk in, order, pay and find a spot to sit type of place. They bring out your food. The food is really good and they have a full bar. What more do you need? The staff is nice and easy on the eyes as well.
I spent 21 bucks and got 4 food items in one. That’s what you’d be spending on just one of the food items. The staff came to the table frequently and asked if we were doing alright, which was nice. My friend got a beer and an extra sandwich after he’d already got his original order (it was the first thing he’d eaten all day) and he didn’t spend much more than me. (They also have waffle fries, which is a big plus.)
The Tin Fish is good eats. I give it 4 out 5 cleaned plates. (I could have use more shrimp, but then again I did get a combo platter.)

I am trying to help raise money for some friends of mine at church. They were in an awful motorcycle wreck. On Wednesday, April 15th, from 11 a.m. to at least midnight I am going to do tats and 100% of the proceeds go to them to help with medical bills. I ask if you do get a tat to keep it to a minimum so I can do as many as possible. The minimum price will be $30.00 dollars. So please keep the tats small so I can move on to the next one as to raise as much as possible. I am not taking appointments that day so it will be first come first serve. There will be a sign in sheet to keep track of who’s next. They really need the financial help plus your prayers. I appreciate you all very much. So please come out and help me raise money for them.

The Last House On The Left – Well I’ll be nice as I can. First it is PG-13, not R, so not much blood or other good things. The story was laid out well, nice work on the acting. It just fell flat without the level dirt and grit or the story. They made the family look weak, and there was no real turning point (i.e. the family just beating hell out of the killers like in the original.) They just got lucky to kill the bad guys. So in my opinion, like it matters, the new Last House on the Left fell very flat. 3 bloody thumbs out of 10.
The Haunting In Connecticut – Now to this one. I liked it better than Last House. It was a good ghost story. It just draged out a little too long. And if you saw the Discovery Channel show, you will be disappointed. It was like The Exorcist and The Amityville Horror mixed into one movie. I did like the way they put it together but there was to much Hollywood crap for filler. 4 bloody thumbs out of 10. I would wait for DVD on both movies.
