With no official word from the Van Halen camp about the reasons behind yesterday’s sudden postponement of over 30 dates on their summer 2012 tour schedule, speculation has set in, some of it focused on the reportedly testy relationship between David Lee Roth and his band mates.

Glen Campbell… An American Legend on Ellen

I may be “metal” but my roots are in music like this. Glen Campbell is an American legend in his own right and is currently suffering from Alzheimer disease. To date there is not a cure and we all know what slowly happens to people that suffer from this horrible disease.
For me being a Glen Campbell fan all my life it is hard to watch him on this YouTube video but it’s also touching too. Me being a guitar player too I an see when Glen is struggling but I see the small victories when he “lines it up” so to speak. God Bless him and keep him and all the people and families struggling with this horrible disease.
For our friends in Evansville, Glen will paying you guys a visit on June 9th! I am so there already!!

Pet Peeves…
People that don’t use their turn signals. I can’t stand that. I wonder how many accidents are caused because some moron failed to hit the lever to the left or right of him/her on the steering column and notify the other drivers’ of their intentions? If I was a police officer, a failure to use turn signals would be your ticket from me. So come on people use the darn things… Its for the other drivers, you already know where you’re going (most of the time.
Another Pet Peeve…
Neighbors that what to talk to you every time you go out of the house. I can’t hardly mow my yard without my neighbor who is really a nice guy yells for me to come over and talk at the fence. So I end up losing 30 minutes to an hour of mowing time. I make a good neighbor because I will never talk to you unless you talk first. It’s ok to wave and go about your business but that’s all.
Pet Peeve…
I hate messy drawers. I open one up and its cluttered to no end. The sad thing is that it overwhelms me soo much I just close the drawer back…

Byron Hillegas for City Commissioner. “It’s time for a real change”

As most of you know by now, I am running for Henderson City Commissioner this year. If I haven’t knocked on your door already, I will do my best to do that before the primary election next month. If you see me out and have a question for me, stop me and I’ll do my best to get it answered for you, or you can ask me here. The people that you vote for in this election will determine whether or not Henderson stays as it has been for years, or it grows. If I get elected into this position, YOU will be my boss. That’s right you will have been the ones that hired me and you will determine every two years thereafter whether or not I continue to work for you or hit the bricks. You tell me what you want for this town and what you would like to see within reason, and I will do my best to make it happen. I can only make you one promise. I will do my best to make this town a better place. When I put my mind to something, I get it done. I will not stop until this town is a better place to live, raise a family, own a business and call home. It’s time for the good ole boy’s club to pack it up and move on. Don’t get me wrong. The good old boys have done some good things, but they have lost sight of who they work for. You are their boss. The citizens of this town do not elect city officials into office so the officials can use their positions in government to benefit themselves. As a city official, they are to set what they want aside, and they are to do what is in your best interest. I am asking you to stand up and help make this town what it can be. I am asking you to stand up for your rights. I am asking for your vote. Re post this, stop by and get a stack of cards to pass out to your friends. Call me. I’ll bring them to you. Scream it from the top of the tallest building in town. We have had enough, and we are taking our town back!

Marilyn Manson really has gone down hill hasn’t he?

Just checking out some fan shot footage of Marilyn Manson recently at a show. The sound quality I can dismiss since its filmed with a hand held camera and not pro shot. That’s a given but just his show quality and his musicians, Whew. When he first came out he was scary as hell and I loved the creepy horror theme he did. I mean I “get it”. I know its all an act.
