INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) – Former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle on Thursday was sentenced to 15-1/2 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography and sex charges. Fogle, who became famous after losing weight on a diet that included sandwiches from the fast-food chain, agreed in August to a deal with prosecutors under which he would plead guilty to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors.     Excerpt:

Fogle cried during his statement before sentencing, saying his wife and children would never get over this.

“You gave your wife $7 million, she’ll be okay,” Pratt responded.

IBM Watson (super Computer) Mondegreens and Rock and Roll!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Watson's_avatarMondegreens. I had never heard of that word until I got an email the other day. I had to look it up. It means “a misunderstood or misinterpreted word or phrase resulting from a mishearing of the lyrics of a song.” We all have done that. Hear one thing but think it says another thing. Remember “Blinded by the Light”? Perfect example of misinterpreted lyrics.

Enter IBM Watson and a team of Scientists. A super computer. Remember it took on two of the smartest Jeopardy contestants and won back in 2011. It was recently given in a sort of non scientific rigorous way lyrics to interpret. Among the lyrics it was given was from songs by Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Sir Elton John and Van Halen!
