Mike Adams, Pens and Badges (You gotta read this)
Mike Adams
Guns and Hoses last night in Evansville was terrible and I’ll never attend this event again. My kids and I sat next to a group of police officers that I suspect were from Boonville Police Department because of their enthusiastic and highly inebriated support for Jordan Saltzman. Not only were these guys drunken idiots, but one of them even had the nerve to ask my 14-year-old daughter “what the fuck she was looking at” when she looked over at him during his booze fueled tirade. Of course, she didn’t tell me this until later or else I would have likely gone to jail for beating this bastard in front of all his law enforcement bros. Also, one of the officers used a stripped down pair of binoculars to sneak in hard liquor to Ford Center… one side was filled with booze and the other with a chaser. I watched several of them take a swig from this contraption. It was one thing after another from these supposed officers of the law. And while it was clear that these imbeciles were cops because they couldn’t seem to stop bragging about strong-arming the average citizen, what they didn’t realize is that I am a nationally recognized journalist with the power to stir a heaping pot of shit. So, if anyone has any information about the pigs that were sitting in Section O & P, Seats 9-12, I would like to hear from you. SHARE THIS STATUS!

Margo, Adult filmstar homeless and addicted
Just another example of how uneven the adult film business is. I am not saying they caused Margo and others’ like her to become homeless and addicted to drugs. But the actresses’ do all the “work” and most don’t get residual fees or royalties. It’s pretty much you get paid for it once and that’s it as the film studio continues to sell the videos and compilation’s and make money for years and years off of it…
Back to my story. A photographer was taking pictures of homeless people in the Miami area and happened across her…Here is the story…
And not that I am hating on the adult film business. We are all adults here and to each their own…

KickActs interviews “Deja Mae”!
Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and were you can be found online.
Hellllo Kick Acts and thank you so much for having me! My name is Deja Mae, well my name is Deja Mae Howell, but I go by Deja Mae for music. My family and close friends have called me Deja Mae since I was tiny, and no matter what I told them I promoted my band name to be when I was starting out, they would all say “I’m here to see Deja Mae” to the door person. So I stopped being clever and made my regular ol’ name my band name.
Here are a few hundred places you can find me:
www.facebook.com/dejamaehowell
*Reason for the handle “wheresdeja” is because it’s what my family and close friends are ALWAYS SAYING “where’s deja?”. I disappear a lot, and run late a lot. I’ll hear my mom say it when I am just up in a different part of their house. I am merely a few walls and arches away, but still I am somehow deemed lost or missing.
Who are your musical heroes and influences? Why?
Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Elliott Smith, Conor Oberst, Son House, Mississipi John Hurt, Nancy Sinatra, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, Tupac, Fiona Apple, Cat Power, Etta James, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Ray Lamontagne, Mazzy Star, The Misfits… ahhh I could go on with this list for eternity, it seems. They all speak to the places inside of me no one else sees. It’s hard to explain, something in each one of these musicians/bands brings alive and soothes the pieces of me I thought broken, or even the pieces I celebrate. They are all extremely talented to say the least.
Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in the music business?
My advice would be to take it seriously like you would any business, because that is exactly what it is, a business. The work is never finished, I am never not working. It’s important I stay focused and give myself deadlines otherwise things that are important get pushed aside for whatever comes with a deadline. Boundaries and Read more…

Preview Paul Stanley’s Memoir
“The tour was horrible. Constant drudgery and misery. We spent all of our energy trying to coax Peter and Ace out of their hotel rooms. Ace sucker-punched Tommy at one of the shows. Peter had his usual handbook detailing how hotel staff had to treat him and which windows had to be covered with tinfoil and all that. There was no reasoning with either of them. We never knew if we’d make it to a show on time, and once we got onstage we never knew whether we’d get through the show. I mean, if a guy has trouble putting on his makeup, how is he going to play? Not surprisingly, the shows could be pretty awful.
I was angry at Peter and Ace for being disrespectful toward everything we had accomplished and everything the fans were giving us. I bought into the idea that this really was it. The end of Kiss. There was no place to go. it was unbearable.
We were stuck in a rut musically as well – basically playing the same 17 songs we’d taught them for the initial reunion. This was the third tour with the same set list. Peter and Ace just couldn’t master any more. The needle was already into the red. I had to come up with nonsensical interview responses to questions about why we were playing the same songs. I couldn’t just say, “because Peter and Ace can’t learn any others.”
