KickActs interveiws “Ghost Lit Kingdom”!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

GhostLitKingdomMAIN

Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and were you can be found online.

We are an LA based Indie Alternative Pop band new to the scene this year. You can find our music and photos and shows and life-long secrets, etc. on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reverbnation, Bandcamp, Soundcloud and ghostlitkingdom.com.

Who are your musical heroes and influences? Why?

Gotta go with bands/artists like Daughter, Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Matt Corby, etc. for the courage to do something outside of the box but still within the realm of soulful, humble, emotional artistic expression. Such talented players as well. If we can reach that threshold, the combination of respectable talent and music itself, we will be very grateful indeed.

Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in the music business?

Do not underestimate the amount of effort it will take just to get off the ground. Things like professionalism, passion, dedication, financial commitment, self awareness, patience, etc. are of the utmost importance. Do not be afraid of failure. There will be many of them along the way.

What piece of advice did you ignore that you wish you hadn’t?

Be wary of the Hollywood scams. We lost almost $1,000 once to a bogus PR scheme back when we were just starting in the LA scene. Things like that make it hard not to label Hollywood as the cesspool of all human waste.

Do you have a greatest gig story or worst gig horror story you’d like to share?

We played an acoustic show in Santa Barbara a while back and as Taylor went to take a breath right before the huge vocal outro of one of the songs he breathed in, mouth against the microphone, and inhaled a small mouthful of some mysterious fluid through the screen of the mic that had, apparently, accumulated in the microphone body over the course of time. Needless to say, he nearly puked on stage and we learned then what it truly means to fear the house equipment.

Do you have any other hobbies other than playing music? Collect stamps? Collect hats from off the side of the road? Draw pictures of peckers or boobs?  Make sock puppets? Sit in the dark and eat Cheetos?

We thoroughly enjoy playing a select group of sports. Not that we are terribly good at them but it’s just fun to throw the football or play 21 (Andrew and Jason love a good basketball run around) before a show or on an off day on tour. Ela is pretty impressive on skates too, as are Michael and Taylor who grew up playing hockey.

What do you think about the current music scene or lack of? Care to address that?

It’s cool how little indie scenes are popping up here and there in LA and its surrounding areas now that the strip and it’s kitsch are starting to kind of fade out. On a grander scale, it seems like we are coming into a scene where the musicianship and songwriting is coming back into appreciation a little more than in recent years. Of course, with the technology age in full swing and the record companies trying to crank out pop hits left and right we are still bound to be fed the trash every once in awhile but things like Arcade Fire and Bon Iver winning Grammys certainly instill a sense of hope for the future of indie music itself.

Do you think reality shows like American Idol, X Factor and The Voice have helped or hurt the music industry as a whole?

It’s kind of a David Bowie thing in that it goes both ways. There are some seriously ridiculous things about them like the way it is all so governed by viewers so it’s often not even really about the art but there are some very real upsides as well. The music and artists that come out of it is  the obvious point to make but there are subtleties as well. For instance, Andrew (our bass player) used to work on some of the reality shows when he was growing up in Melbourne and he always says one of the coolest things about it was that when he was working So You Think You Can Dance he was able to expose the viewers to some really good music that they may never have heard elsewhere by working the songs into the show and dances themselves. So these shows definitely have the capability to do wonderful things for music. It’s just a matter of whether they decide to do so.

What is your opinion of unauthorized music downloads?

In a perfect world it would not even be an issue but the parasitic nature of the human race is unavoidable. Overall, however, it’s pretty unfortunate that it happens. The internet gives people that little buffer of pseudo safety between themselves and the people that it affects. It is far less likely that thousands of people would steal from a mom and pop store that makes their living off the merchandise in the store but that’s basically the same idea with illegally downloading music, especially from up and coming bands.

Tell us something about you/each of your band members that we wouldn’t expect to hear.

Jason was in the Air Force for six years! Ela grew up in Turkey and, thus, speaks fluent Turkish. Andrew grew up in Australia and, thus, speaks fluent Australian. Mike studied classical acoustic guitar in college and performed in a touring quartet. Taylor went to Arizona State University out of high school on scholarship to study Kinesiology… and hated it.

Hypothetical situation. You’re on Gilligan’s Island and you get to hook up with only one of the survivors… Which one and why?

Mary Ann and Ginger would be the obvious top candidates but they both seem like they’d be expecting and, thus, unappreciative. Gilligan would stumble through the whole experience so he is out. Mr. Howell… multi millionaire(former billionaire…what a tragedy) and Republican. Pass. There are probably few things that could produce more self worth dilemmas than a casual sexual experience with a PHD while marooned on an island so Hinkley is out as well. Captain would playfully refer to your genitals as “Little Buddy” so that leaves Mrs. Howell as the most suitable choice. Probably in need of a good kiss anyway. (Editor’s note: someone did their homework on this one! BRAVO! 🙂

Do you know what a vinyl album is and have your ever purchased one? If so, what was it?

Ela and her family collect them! The last one she bought was Daughter Live at Air Studios. Such an incredible record.

You’re marooned on an island with Justin Bieber. Do you choke him out the first night in his sleep or what?

No. Would be such a waste. He gets to live if he promises us a home cooked dinner party with Usher.

What is your opinion of Miley Cyrus?

She’s growing on us as the years go on. She’s no longer the encapsulating body for the metaphoric death to all things music but there is still a good distance yet to go. Wrecking Ball is definitely a guilty pleasure for Taylor, though. If every GLK chorus hit as hard as that one he would be satisfied.

Which would you rather hear in concert?  Lip-synching or real vocals?

Real vocals every day of the week. Unless it’s John Krasinski on Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battle. Flawless performance.

Who, or what, is the next big thing?

Still holding out for Tupac to come back for real. That hologram was way too life-like for it to just be “made in his likeness.” It was foreshadowing for sure.

One artist you can’t get enough of and can’t live without is… Why?

Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters. They are a musical revelation that will live through the ages.

Confession time. Share a secret about yourself.

None of us can read or write.

Favorite movie of all time and why?

Dünyayi Kurtaran Adam (1982). Turkish dollar store Star Wars illegally using unlicensed scores and scenes from other movies. An instant classic.

Our last question is called “Shout It Out Loud”. It’s where you get to talk about whatever you want to talk about. So go ahead and “SHOUT IT OUT LOUD”!

Since we are a young band, that most people are yet to be acquainted with, it seems prudent to talk about what music means to us. Without getting to soapy on the subject, we just want to express our appreciation for its existence as a whole. We are trying to write songs that can reach an emotional recognition with the people who listen to them and then perform them in such a way that reflects that sentiment. Music has done wonderful things for the preservation of our sanity through that type of connection that we have experienced with artists and songs that are dear to us and we would be eternally fulfilled if we were able to give that back so thank you for letting us share Ghost Lit Kingdom with you guys. You have no idea what it means to us.

Kickacts interviews “One Way Mirror”

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

one way mirror

Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and were you can be found online.

966373_10151987063439925_1096094854_oHi. I’m Guillaume. The singer of this human association.

We’re French, great friends, we eat frogs and anything, we play some great music we do by the heart and I guess or hope our music is available everywhere..

Who are your musical heroes and influences? Why?

If I have to speak for myself I will say:

Rage Against the machine

Midnight Oil

Guns n roses

Pantera

Why because they simply touched me as a human..

They changed me.. For the better or the worse. It’s not mine to choose.
Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in the music business?

Don’t do it unless you are very good. And not only good in front of your mirror in your messy bedroom.

Everybody can pretend. This business needs consistence.
What piece of advice did you ignore that you wish you hadn’t?

Nothing. I knew it all deep inside.

Do you have a greatest gig story or worst gig horror story you’d like to share?

Worse: When the venue guy, as you are finishing the soundcheck as the doors are openinng, comes to you and says: Time is up. Curfew is strict and we only have time for the headliner.

Best: Play in a stadium with Metallica in front of 65000 people and my hotel room is in the stadium itself. Just have to walk from the bed to the stage in 5mn..

Do you have any other hobbies other than playing music? Collect stamps? Collect hats from off the side of the road? Draw pictures of peckers or boobs? Make sock puppets? Sit in the dark and eat Cheetos?
I have a hobby which is also a job: Photography. I need to make money with everything I do. Music made me poor, hahahah!!! I have to think practical.

What do you think about the current music scene or lack of? Care to address that?
I don’t listen to music much. Music is a selfish way to express myself and I like it this way.. Dealing with my mind takes too much time..
Do you think reality shows like American Idol, X factor and The Voice have helped or hurt the music industry as a whole?
Hurts. It’s the worse shit ever. A shitty perfectly created world by fake perfect humans. They blind and misinform people and create a fake world that sucks big time.

They deserve to rot in hell. But I don’t believe in god. God is the first reality show.
What is your opinion of unauthorized music downloads?
I hate it. They kill us. So are they killing culture. And culture is  everything. With food. Music and art are mind elevation.
Tell us something about each of your band members that we wouldn’t expect to hear.
David has a huge ribcage, Franck snores with really weird sounds, Perdi is beautiful but ugly, Clement is intelligent but stupid and I am the worst nightmare.. Stupider than the rest of us.

Hypothetical situation. You’re on Gilligan’s island and you get to hook up with only one of the survivors… Which one and why?
I don’t know this place.
Do you know what a vinyl album is and have your ever purchased one? If so, what was it?
I’m 36. I know what it is. I don’t remember what it was. I was too young. My first cd though was the first SEAL album. I still very much love it.
You’re marooned on an island with Justin Bieber. Do you choke him out the first night in his sleep or what?
No. This young dude is just victim of his success and his surrounding. And I’m not jealous. And as long as he likes what he does I won’t allow myself to judge him. I would try to get to know him to get to know what he’s made of. I’m sure he’s a nice guy after all.
What is your opinion of Miley Cyrus?

I don’t know that person.
Which would you rather hear in concert? Lip syncing or real vocals?
What do you think?? I’m not stupid..
Who, or what, is the next big thing?
Google managing to make my friends and I live until 300 years old in good health all the way.
One artist you can’t get enough of and can’t live without is…
Myself.
Confession time. Share a secret about yourself.
I hate silence. Silence is death and I can’t accept death. I get the point but I don’t accept it.

That’s why I drink.
Favorite movie of all time and why.
Maybe Minority report.. I don’t know why and I’m not even a fan of Tom Cruise. When you love it’s not always necessary to ask yourself why you love. That’s the magic of it.
Our last question is called “Shout It Out Loud”. It’s were you get to talk about whatever you want to talk about. So go ahead and “SHOUT IT OUT LOUD”!
Today 12 people died in France. They died because they had the freedom of speech and some people didn’t like it.

Freedom is our right.

Our soul needs it.

Unfortunately the majority of the world is deprived of it.

We, who have it, must cherish it until the end.

We are lucky to be alive.

Nazareth’s last album With Dan McCafferty

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

untitled  Dan McCafferty is one bad mofo on vocals…He has fronted Nazareth for about 40 years now. You can hear his trademark vocals on radio hits such as “Hair of the Dog” and Love Hurts”. Man I remember hanging  out in my bedroom listening to that on 8 tracks tapes. It really didn’t get any better than that. But for real Nazareth fans we know that “Naz” is far more than those two songs. What abut “Expect no Mercy”, Hearts grown Cold”, This Flight Tonight”, Shot me Down”, “Telegram”, Their version of the Yard bird’s song “Shapes of Things to Come”, and don’t “Miss Misery”, “Please Don’t Judas Me”, Beggar’s Day”, Rose In The Heather”…Know what I mean? I could go and on. I haven’t even touched their extensive catalog of good music.

Did I mention I saw them in Evansville with Thin Lizzy back in 1980? Maybe 1979 but its been awhile…Two great bands!

Back in 2013 Dan announced that he was stepping down as the front man to “Naz” due to him developing COPD. That wasn’t the end of Dan. Nazareth recorded their 23rd release “Rock and Roll Telephone” with him. And, (there’s always an “and”)…When Nazareth hired a new singer to front the band the old Boss Dan called the guy to congratulate him before his first show. How freaking cool is that?

It gets even better…

Nazareth just put up the album for streaming.

Check it out.

I have and its great classic Nazareth!

Like the article, Comment and repost 🙂

KickActs interviews “Deja Mae”!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and were you can be found online.

Deja_Mae_FlowersHellllo Kick Acts and thank you so much for having me! My name is Deja Mae, well my name is Deja Mae Howell, but I go by Deja Mae for music. My family and close friends have called me Deja Mae since I was tiny, and no matter what I told them I promoted my band name to be when I was starting out, they would all say “I’m here to see Deja Mae” to the door person. So I stopped being clever and made my regular ol’ name my band name.

Here are a few hundred places you can find me:

www.dejamae.com

www.facebook.com/dejamaehowell

www.youtube.com/dejamaemusic

www.soundcloud.com/dejamae

www.twitter.com/wheresdeja

www.instagram.com/wheresdeja

*Reason for the handle “wheresdeja” is because it’s what my family and close friends are ALWAYS SAYING “where’s deja?”. I disappear a lot, and run late a lot. I’ll hear my mom say it when I am just up in a different part of their house. I am merely a few walls and arches away, but still I am somehow deemed lost or missing.

Who are your musical heroes and influences? Why?

Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Elliott Smith, Conor Oberst, Son House, Mississipi John Hurt, Nancy Sinatra, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, Tupac, Fiona Apple, Cat Power, Etta James, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Ray Lamontagne,  Mazzy Star, The Misfits… ahhh I could go on with this list for eternity, it seems. They all speak to the places inside of me no one else sees. It’s hard to explain, something in each one of these musicians/bands brings alive and soothes the pieces of me I thought broken, or even the pieces I celebrate.   They are all extremely talented to say the least.

Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in the music business?

My advice would be to take it seriously like you would any business, because that is exactly what it is, a business. The work is never finished, I am never not working. It’s important I stay focused and give myself deadlines otherwise things that are important get pushed aside for whatever comes with a deadline. Boundaries and Read more…

Kickacts interviews Axel Jordan!

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Recently James Lowe from Kickacts Magazine sat down with one of the very exciting artists on the scene.

Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and where you can be found at on the web.

AxelJordan pictureHello Kick Acts!  My name is AxelJordan.  Musician born, raised and currently living in NYC … Land of Creativity!  You can find me online via my website, www.AxelJordan.com  My website is a directional page so be sure to take a look at my social media icons; Facebook, instagram, youtube etc.

Who are your musical heroes, influences & why?

Growing up in Brooklyn NY, I would say the music mostly heard around me was Hip Hop & R&B.  I can definitely say that not only influenced my music but also my outlook on life in music.   There’s a certain amount of honesty in Hip Hip and R&B.  You say what you’re feeling.  Whether it’s love or pain or anger, the music translates those emotions.  I have a lot of respect for that and the artist who do it well.  Mix that with Pop culture and you have AxelJordan!

Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in playing music? Any pitfalls they should avoid?

My best advice to give is the advice I still currently live by …  Continue doing what you’re doing.  Not everyone is going to understand it.  Not everyone is going to respect it.  And you might feel alone a lot of the time.  But in that silence and solitude, you begin to really find yourself; you begin to understand your creativity and the role it plays in the world.  So keep going  and keep striving.

Do you have a greatest gig story you’d like to share?

Man I have a bunch of pretty awesome stories. HA!  For a while, I would bring my guitar to pretty much every underground spot in NYC to play my music.  Didn’t matter the venue, crowd .. as long as it had a mic and a stool.  I’m talking, I went to Hip Hop music venues, Soul & Gospel venues, Rock & Roll bars.  I knew I didn’t really fit in and was often asked if I was sure I knew where I was.  But I’d stay and wait for my name to be called.   When it was I’d grab my guitar and head to the mic to sing.  Sometimes you could hear the confusion in the crowd.  Sometimes you could hear the annoyance from the crowd.  But I wanted to sing and I wanted them to hear it.  So I’d sing  it would never take long before they gave in and started to enjoy it.  I was living out my passion and creativity and for the most part other creative minds understand that and can find the joy in it.

On the same token as the above question. How about a “worse gig” ever story.

Nah, I don’t have “worst gig” stories.  I mean of course, it’s a gig presentation of creativity and it doesn’t always come out the way you’d like but it’s all just to get better from.  So no worst gig stories for me.

Do you have any other hobbies other than playing music? Collect stamps? Collect hats from off the side of the road? Draw pictures of boobs?

Creatively speaking, once you open up the doors of your creativity, it all comes pouring out.  So I spend most of time learning about that.  I make clothes, I paint. I dance.  I do love to learn so I’m always open to new knowledge.  And I love to have fun too.  I like bowling and watching comedy.  Anything funny has my immediate attention.

What do you think about the present music scene or lack of? Care to address that?

I don’t get to caught up in those arguments.  The music is the music.

It’s hard enough for musicians and artist alivento truly express themselves and get noted for it.  Why spend time trying to break that down because it might not be something we personally understand?  Instead, I choose to appreciate the music and even the commentators.  The judgements are equally as important as the praise.  If understood and appreciated, they both lead you in path with the best you.

Hypothetical situation. You’re stranded on Gilligan’s island and you get to hook up with only one of the girls… Is it Ginger, Mary Ann or Mrs. Howell and why?

Why choose just one???  What about all three???  Mary Ann is a cutie though … something about those pigtails …

Our last question is called “Shout It Out Loud”. It’s were you get to talk about whatever you want to talk about. So go ahead and “SHOUT IT OUT LOUD”!

This past month I got the chance to release my first music video for my debut single “Release You”.  Working on, shooting and releasing the video was such a great step for me in my career thus far.  I’ve been singing and working on music since I was a kid and to see my music & my vision come to life in that video was really pretty awesome.  I am truly blessed and grateful for that.  If you haven’t done so, check it out on my website, www.AxelJordan.com

Looking forward to making more and the release of my album in the Spring 2014.

Till then,

Keep Loving & Keep Shining!

KickActs interviews Maurice Carmon “Mlyrics”

google.com, pub-2427795083793513, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Recently James Lowe from Kickacts Magazine sat down with one of the very exciting artists on the scene. The following is a written interview we conducted with the artist while they were working on their next CD and Tour. First off

I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk to us here today, as i know our readers have been requesting us get you in here some how some way. You folks have been described by your fans as internet

sensations in this interview we will attempt to figure out how this artist became such a great performer and what they have going forward.

Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and your band and were you can be found at on the web. I am a solo R&B/Soul act. Born and raised out of Washington D.C. let’s just say as a writer as well my music include stories of love to just real life situations. My music can be found at sites such as soundcloud, reverbnation, myspace, basically all the social sites as well I had an official release in Oct 2013.

                   Twitter: https://twitter.com/Mlyrics
                   Myspace: https://myspace.com/mlyrics
            Reverbnation: http://www.reverbnation.com/mauricecarmonmlyrics
                SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/mlyrics

Maurice Pic 3Who are your musical heroes, influences & why? Now, if I was to name everyone you guys would not have enough room to publish anyone else’s story (I am just joking). Some of my influences are Joe, Charlie Wilson, Sam Cook, and sum it up all of the real soul and R&B singers.

Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in playing music? Any pitfalls they should avoid? This is no secret but for those who do not know or may not understand why their music career may be at a standstill, every artist must have or make great connections which are just a part of what it takes to make it these days. Second you need a budget because as they say you get what you pay for and I am speaking in regards to their promotion, marketing, and branding. Third have some not good music but top notch music. It has to be top notch because everyone these days is an artist and many of them are actually coming up with some good music. Last, keep the mess at home. The industry is a business.

Do you have a greatest gig story you’d like to share? Not really, any and every time I perform, I love it.

On the same token as the above question. How about a “worse gig” ever story. Not really as I stated earlier I just love to perform so there is no “worse gig”, now someone else may think it was bad, lol but I just love to perform.

Do you have any other hobbies other than playing music? Collect stamps? Collect hats from off the side of the road? Draw pictures of boobs? No stamps collecting, or hats and unfortunately I have never been a good drawer so boob drawing is totally out (this was a funny one) but I am a writer. Writing is my love and ultimately first love. I have written all of my material as well I have written and worked with other artist from Snoop to Jon B and the ones in between were nothing short of amazing as well like Charlie Wilson, K-CI, Samantha Jade, MidWest City, Day 26 and many others.

USE_Mlyrics(1)

What do you think about the present music scene or lack of? Care to address that? Oh boy, you’re trying to have some people upset at me huh? Just messing, well today I believe that the music scene is a little everywhere. It’s not where it was when the real and good talent determined the scene but it’s popularity that determines it now. I mean there are some artist that lucked up and had the right financial backing and connection so they got in then on the other hand there is some of the most amazing artist out there that the majority of people have and will never hear their music.

Tell us something about each of your band members that we wouldn’t expect to hear… Like their hobbies or something like that…I am a solo act, but there is something that may surprise people which is I am actually a studying Jehovah’s Witness. Yes, there are others in the music industry beside George Benson and “The Symbol” Prince J

Hypothetical situation. You’re stranded on Gilligan’s island and you get to hook up with only one of the girls… Is it Ginger, Mary Ann or Mrs. Howell and why? Lol, man you guys are definitely keeping me on my toes, lol uh to be honest probably none. I say none, because sometimes and in some situations it is just best to be alone and this may be the situation. Plus I do not believe in simply hooking up there is just too much out there that I do not care to experience (if you know what I mean), lol

Our last one is called “Shout It Out Loud”. It’s were you get to talk about whatever you want to talk about. So go ahead and “SHOUT IT OUT LOUD”! As a real music lover, I wish and cannot wait for the days where the downloading and free streaming is over. People have to realize that this is how musicians and artist make a living. It is just unfair that labels and artist spend so much of their personal time, money, and talents and not be compensated yet people want others to support and buy their material. I also hope that these new artist wake up and understand that this is not an industry to where talent will simply be enough. And that they should not expect anyone to invest money or time into them when they are not willing to do it into themselves. I know this has nothing to do with music but people just really need to start treating each other as they want to be treated. All the bullying, robberies, killings, etc…Is just destroying us as a people. It’s sad when hear someone got snatched into a car in broad daylight in front of a bank. Last, there are a number of people in the world that can personally have enough financially that they can individually get the U.S. out of this “debt” it’s in. What this simply means is that these certain individuals have enough money that they or their great, great, great grandkids will never be able to spend in their lifetime. I just pray that maybe one day they decide to actually help oppose to given large sums of funds to companies that are “suppose” to help but never do. It’s time for that to change because they can make a difference.

1. Welcome to Kick Acts. Tell us a little about yourself and your band and were you can be found at on the web.

I am ZotheJerk of The Jerk Nation. Im a rap artist specializing in Hip Hop and Soul. My sound is a thrilling thought provoking roller coaster ride of sheer delight.

zon

2. Who are your musical heroes, influences & why?

Im influenced by the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Eminem, Jay Z, Hasous Clay, Boldy James, Pink floyd, and lots of others

3. Do you have any advice for someone just getting started in playing music? Any pitfalls they should avoid?

My greatest advice would be find yourself musically and never veer from who you are. Allow yourself to grow even reinvent yourself but never allow someone to tell you who to be musically

4. Do you have a greatest gig story you’d like to share?

My favorite memory was of a show i performed at in Lawrence, Kansas. There was two kids there like 8 to 10 years old, and they actually introduced us the show! It was a moment i will never forget.

5. On the same token as the above question. How about a “worse gig” ever story.

First show ever we were booed off the stage by crowd of at least 1000 people. lol that was the true beginning of my career

6. Do you have any other hobbies other than playing music? Collect stamps? Collect hats from off the side of the road? Draw pictures of boobs?

i do love pictures of boobs lol, my hobby is philosophy and people. i love to connect with different people and experience different cultures

7. What do you think about the present music scene or lack of? Care to address that?

I think there is a music scene in Kansas City but i think its spread out in movements. The artists are generating interest and getting the gigs. Their fan base is growing some are securing major deals and blowing up the independent scene. I think confidence in this cycle has got to be stronger. there are so many brilliant artists that the artists have to self govern where they want the scene to go, thats how i see it at least

8. Tell us something about each of your band members that we wouldn’t expect to hear… Like their hobbies or something like that…

EdofTheJN is is passionate about Honey Mustard from Mcdonalds, Reag has his own language called Reaganese, Hashous Clay is emotionally attached to subway, and i am addicted to Jacstack BBQ lol

9. Hypothetical situation. You’re stranded on Gilligan’s island and you get to hook up with only one of the girls… Is it Ginger, Mary Ann or Mrs. Howell and why?

lets see Mrs Howell has that bread, Ginger was to hot to be loyal and Mary Ann looks freaky, I’d start at Ginger and work down to Mrs. Howell so upon rescue id have a rich cougar on my team lol

10. # 10 is called “Shout It Out Loud”. It’s were you get to talk about whatever you want to talk about. So go ahead and “SHOUT IT OUT LOUD”!

Thanks for taking the time to chat with me! Let me give a BIIIIG What Up Doe to Bo, Reag, Hash, Ed, CJ, Pookie Snuggle, Alex, Marlon, Peters, B MO and all my real immediate crew, Look out for the “LIVE” album coming this Fall! CHeck us out on TheJerkNation.com its our culture… Its Where We Live!!
